RecoVR: Mosul continues to receive industry recognition as a stand-out VR experience of 2016

Last night The Drum celebrated 10 years of the Dadi Awards, their flagship awards event, recognising the best digital work from around the world.

RecVR: Mosul, a collective reconstruction, our collaborative project with The Economist Media Labs in New York was shortlisted in the ‘Best use of VR’ category and we are over the moon it has picked up another award at last nights ceremony!

“We’re thrilled and honoured to receive the Best use of VR award for RecoVR: Mosul. The aim of the project was to show how you can use VR to experience something which no longer exists in the real world, and its fantastic to be recognised for achieving this.”

Will McMaster, Head of VR Visualise

Huge thanks to the Economist Media Labs for bringing this incredible project to us and Rekrei whose idea it was to digitally reconstruct Mosul’s lost museum artefacts. To find out more about how we used VR to bring this story to life read our RecoVR: Mosul case study.
