T-Mobile – Experience Coverage Beyond – In-Store AR

Augmented Reality Visualisation of T-Mobile's Network

Working closely with the experiential agency NRG, Visualise have produced an in-store augmented reality experience for T-Mobile. Holding up your phone to the table in the Seattle flagship store you are able to see the skyscrapers of the city grow from the surface. Animated vehicles and people move through the streets and the network and flow of data is visualised through animated ‘pipes’. The experience continues through regions, national and finally a global view – showing the relationship between T-Mobile and Starlink.

WIP - Cinema 4D city view

The model and the animations were built in Cinema 4D, the main augmented reality experience was built in 8th Wall and using web technologies including three.js. There is a huge amount of information in the experience, including visualisations of data usage and messages sent, along with coverage map legends and keys. There’s also a very faithful recreation of the starlink coverage of the globe as the finale. The whole piece is built in ‘WebAR’ which means it works in someones browser without needing any external apps.

You can find more information on the different types of AR here.
