Jaunt Inc, the cinematic VR content platform & production studio, came to Visualise looking for a production partner to create a 360° documentary capturing the Pride Festival in London. The project was led by Belong@Jaunt, the company’s internal diversity team, and we were delighted to volunteer our services & collaborate with the awesome team at Jaunt to capture the colourful event in Love Letter from London.
The 4-minute film captures London’s most colourful Pride ever, allowing audiences to experience the thrill and vibrancy of the festival as if they are there, walking in the parade and driving on the floats. It was a particularly poignant celebration this year, marking 50 years since the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality in the UK – and now people can re-live such a jubilant occasion through the medium of VR.
The Jaunt camera system was perfect for the fast moving pace of the parade and the resulting 3D stereoscopic footage was stitched in JCS (Jaunt Cloud Services). The whole project was turned around in 4 days so that the film could be released to the media whilst the event was still front of mind.
The film made headlines around the world from Hollywood to Japan to Russia.
“We wanted to take the opportunity to work with a leading VR production partner to get them hands on with the Jaunt ONE camera and Jaunt Cloud Services. Visualise were top of our list. From the first discussion, Visualise stepped up to this all-volunteer project without hesitation and stuck through the project from conception to delivery.”
