There has been a huge amount of viral videos going around online that show impossible/amazing moments happening in the world around us. There is no official name for this yet but it’s being labelled as ‘Fake, Virtual or CG Out-of-Home’.

These videos look like AR experiences but are usually not… We have done some proper AR ones of course, check out our work with Louis Vuitton here. One of the things that Web AR really struggles with is tracking buildings or objects far away, it’s much stronger with images or flat surfaces, hence a lot of (but not all) these experiences would not be possible in current WebAR.
